i just learned that copenhagen’s bicycle friendly infrastructure did NOT exist 30 years ago. they were as stubborn and as car-stricken as other cities. but they made it work.
“if i should give some advice to a city, that is to try to take the people in the city as serious as we have been taking traffic.” - man in the movie.
so excited to help the movement towards bicycles once...
third: race difference
for a while i’ve noted that many blacks in atlanta play music very loud on their cell phones. they are usually ringtones. they blast their tunes obnoxiously loud. they play it on marta, while waiting in line at the bank, while walking down the sidewalk. i’ve also noticed that they will shout at each other, and seem to increase in volume when i pass them on a...

apple sticker + obama 08 sticker + on a toyota prius. can there start to be brands-of-brands, so that this man can just consolidate his personal branding into...
interview
I interviewed Mikael who holds one of the best flickr stream showing the Copenhagen Cycling Culture. The interview was short, and email-based:
1) Your flickr stream and website are inspirational sources for bike riding advocacy and the wholesome attitude surrounding bicycle culture. How did you get involved/interested in this subject?
The best answer is available here....
